'I gave up': New York boy, 13, who took his own life after being mercilessly bullied at school writes a heartbreaking final note - and blames his school for 'doing nothing'
Daniel Fitzpatrick, a 13-year-old from Staten Island who took
his own life after being mercilessly bullied by former friends, has
blamed his school for not helping him in a heartbreaking final note
(bottom inset). Daniel (left, with his mother, and right with his
father) hanged himself in his family's attic on Thursday, and was found
by one of his older sisters. In a note, he detailed why he felt so
helpless at his school, Holy Angels Catholic
Academy. Daniel said he was constantly bullied, and was upset at teachers who were supposed to help him for 'doing nothing'.
